Honorary Lifetime Membership Award
In 2005, the Honorary Lifetime Membership Award was renamed the Gunther Dumalski Lifetime Membership Award. This award may not be awarded each year. Mr. Dumalski served as a human resources and benefits professional at the County of Los Angeles for many years. He is remembered for his passion for the public sector human resources profession, and an enthusiastic willingness to mentor young professionals and his dedication to SCPMA-HR. This award is bestowed upon those who have rendered distinguished service in advancing and upholding the purposes of SCPMA-HR and are at or near retirement from the profession.

Emery E. Olson Achievement Award Recipients
This award commemorates the legacy of Dr. Emery E. Olson, who was a nationally respected educator and first Dean of the University of Southern California of Public Administration. Serving as a public personnel commissioner from 1928 to 1975, Dr. Olson was a member to an entire generation of public personnel professionals in the Southern California area. This award may not be awarded each year.
